We test content on nearly all of the latest browsers, but access can be affected by the local configuration of your browser. This article advises how to resolve these issues.
As long as the session opens most issues can be resolved just by trying an up to date version of an alternative browser, and/or a different device. Try this first if you are having trouble clicking on interactions or quiz questions, or if the session isn't reacting as it should.
Error communicating with the LMS server

Figure 1 Error communicating with the LMS server message
This message warns you your browser has lost communication with the server. No progress will be saved when this message appears. Close the session and reopen it to regain connection, the session will go back to where the connection was lost. Please don't ignore this message even though it will allow you to continue.
If the session doesn't open at all
Our learning sessions open in pop up windows so these need to be allowed on the browser you are using for this site. If not, nothing will happen when the green <Play elearning session> button is selected
Pop ups are allowed in <Settings> on most browsers
In Edge, Firefox and Chrome go to the right hand end of your browser and select three dots or lines to open the menu list and go to settings. On Safari this is found on the left hand end of your URL bar. Settings usually has a 'gear' icon.

It may be easier to Google the exact way to allow pop ups for your particular browser but the route for the four most common is as follows:
- Edge: Settings > Privacy, search and services> Site permissions > All permissions > Pop ups and redirects > Add site
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy and security - then scroll to <Permissions> and unselect <Block pop up windows>
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Pop ups and redirects
- Safari: Website settings > Pop up windows
