You can build Cases directly in the NHS Learning Hub, they are designed to help educators deliver learning interactively and progressively.
Assessments and Cases support enhanced image files that have been generated by whole-slide imaging devices like Hamamatsu and Aperio. You will be able to explore digital slide samples including any annotations the contributor has added.
Planning
You will need an idea of what kind of content you want to contribute and how best to organise it to deliver it effectively.
This is what learners will see when they read through a Case:
- They will encounter each page in the order they've been laid out;
- They cannot move to the next page until all questions have been answered on the current page.
- Each question must be answered in the right order.
To enable this experience, contributors are encouraged to split their content across pages and to only add questions to a page if they are relevant to the content they contain.
Here are some things to consider when planning your Case
- What kind of content do I need? For example, text, images, videos, slides etc.
Tip: Aim for a mix of different content types to keep things interesting - How do I arrange the content to have a good narrative?
Tip: Think of Cases like a story. Does your content have good flow? Does it reach a satisfying conclusion? - How do I split my content across pages to give it good pacing and separation?
Tip: Questions provide a good opportunity to challenge your reader's thinking and form a natural place to start a new page afterwards. - What are the best questions I can ask about the content on each page to deliver the lesson progressively?
Tip: Because questions need to be answered in sequence, each question can be phrased to follow on logically from the last. For example, to step your reader through a process of reasoning.

- License When contributing a resource to the Learning Hub it is important that you, as the contributor, understand the licence options available to you. You need to be aware of how your choice of licence affects how learners can interact with, and potentially share, the resource after it is added to the Learning Hub.
Are you allowed to share this resource? If you are, you can choose from four licences. Each licence offers different levels of restrictions on how the resource can be shared and used.
If you are unsure whether to use a Creative Commons license, select the links below for more information.
Creative Commons: Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International
Creative Commons: Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International
Creative Commons: Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International
All Rights Reserved This licence allows you, as the creator of the resource you are contributing to the Learning Hub, to reserve all rights capable of being reserved under the relevant applicable laws related to the reuse of the materials included in your resource. However, by sharing your resources on the Learning Hub you are inviting users to access, read, and be educated by the resource you have contributed.
This licence is available to contributors both to preserve the autonomy of those creating and sharing their resources on the Learning Hub, and to offer a licence option that can be applied to resources created where the contributor is not the sole creator of the materials, meaning they do not have the right to use a more open licence (see Creative Commons options above) for their contribution.
Certificate The Learning Hub can supply a certificate on completion of your resource for your learners. (You can supply an image for your certificate logo when requesting your catalogue). Tick Yes or No to this.
