Who can access the Learning Hub?

Modified on: Tue, 19 Mar, 2024 at 2:35 PM

The Learning Hub offers easy access to a broad spectrum of shared self-managed educational content, knowledge, and learning resources for the NHS and social care workforce, as well as general learners.

Learning Hub Full users

The NHS and social care workforce are classed as Full users on the Learning Hub and can access all resources, plus additional content marked as appropriate.

NHS and social care workforce include:

  • Anyone with a NHS email address (including Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland)
  • Registered NHS England and NHS Scotland OpenAthens users can access the Learning Hub using their existing OpenAthens account
  • Hospice and care homes
  • Social care
  • Public Health England
  • Department of Health and Social Care
  • NICE
  • Ministry of Defence
  • Dental trainees/trainers and practices
  • Local government
  • Universities
  • Registered e-Learning for Healthcare Hub users from any of the above groups

This is determined by email address or additional validation when creating an account.

If you work in:

  • Social care
  • Dental practice or university dental school that provides NHS care
  • Contact the Learning Hub support team to create accounts for a group of users.

Learning Hub General users

Individuals who are not within the NHS or social care scope can register for a general account using their personal email address. General users will then be granted access to resources that are accessible to the wider audience.

Contact the Learning Hub support team to create accounts for a group of users.
